Summer Play Events

Once again during the summer holidays the parish council arranged for free play events. This year we changed provider to use Milton Keynes Play Association and the events were a great success. Events were held at both Hawkslade and Eskdale Road and each of the three sessions for under 12s attracted 50+ children. We also ran a teen event but it turned out to be the hottest day of the year so turnout wasn't as good as the other sessions.
https://maltacasinosite.com came to mind reading about the teen event falling flat on the hottest day, since outdoor plans in July are always a gamble against the weather. The fact that 50+ kids turned up for each under-12s session at both Hawkslade and Eskdale Road says a lot about how much families rely on free local activities once school stops. Switching providers sounds like it paid off, though I wonder if a backup indoor venue would help the teen turnout next year.
It's fantastic to hear that the under 12s play events were such a success, with over 50 children attending each session! That really shows the demand for free activities in the community. It's a shame about the teen event coinciding with the hottest day; perhaps offering activities that involve water or shade, like a giant game of "пузырчатая пленка" popping, could help next time? 😊
