There will be an additional remembrance service this year. As well as the church service at 6 pm there will be a service on the village green at 10:30 am.

Having both the church service at 6 pm and the green gathering earlier gives people who can't make one a real chance to still take part. I've been to remembrances where everything was crammed into a single hour and it always felt rushed.

It's thoughtful that Stoke Mandeville Parish Council is organizing an additional remembrance service this year, offering two distinct opportunities for reflection. Having both a morning service on the village green and an evening church service ensures more members of the community can participate. This kind of community dedication is vital, much like the sense of history and collective memory one might find in a quiet town of salem.
