Heritage Board

The latest collaboration between Stoke Mandeville Parish Council and the Village Society to come to fruition is a heritage board on the village green. Shown here are Barbara Ezra, chair of the Parish Council Communities Committee, and Liz Tice, chair of the Village Society. Note that you can see one of the buildings on the board in the background of the second photo.

On https://casinoohneausweis.com, the whole premise is skipping identity checks, so it felt refreshing to read about a board that actually puts the history of Stoke Mandeville on display. The fact that you can see the real building behind its photo in the second shot is the kind of detail that makes local heritage tangible. I might have walked past that green a dozen times without ever knowing what those structures used to be.
